Isle of MTV – Line Up Announced!
Isle of MTV is the biggest music event in Malta. Every year huge international acts take to the stage to perform in front of 50,000 people. And the best part? It’s free! Tickets are given out for free on a first-come first-served basis, with people booking holidays in Malta every June for the chance to take part in one of the biggest shows of the summer. With past acts including Snoop Dog, LMFAO, Lady Gaga and David Guetta, it’s no wonder there’s so much hype about the line-up being revealed.
So here we go, headlining Isle of MTV 2012 are:
Will.i.am: The Voice judge and front man of the Black Eyed Peas (who have previously performed at the Isle of MTV), Will.i.am has an imitable style and is a born showman. He’s worked with Cheryl Cole, Akon, Britney Spears, Alicia Keys and Justin Bieber. Fingers crossed for some special guests! Will.i.am has also launched his own clothes range, has appeared in Hollywood blockbusters and is currently a mentor on BBC talent show The Voice.
Nelly Furtado: From her debut single ‘I’m Like a Bird’ to her massive success with the album Loose, which included hits like Man-Eater, Promiscuous and Say It Right, Nelly Furtado is going to drive the crowds crazy in Malta. Her new album, The Spirit Indestructible, is set for release in June, with her new single Big Hoops (Bigger the Better) being released this month!
Flo Rida: Providing one hit after another, Flo Rida’s is one of the world’s hottest hip-hop acts. From his first huge single Low, featuring T-Pain, to the catchy anthems Good Feeling and Wild Ones, Flo Rida has a massive number of chart topping hits under his belt. Collaborations with Ke$ha, Sia, Alexandra Burke, Ne-Yo and his fellow headliners, Nelly Furtado and Will.i.am, make Flo Rida an incredible addition to the Isle of MTV 2012 line up.
