10 FAST ONE'S:
1. If possible, tell us where your favourite place in the world is and why?
This has to be one of the most difficult questions to answer and I am asked it on a regular basis. While, I could easily name my top 5 favorite cities, choosing my most favorite is incredibly challenging. I think the place that truly feels like home and is where I hope to eventually live is Buzios, Brasil. It is a charming city located on one of the most gorgeous beaches in the world. I could not have designed a more perfect place for myself.
2. If you could have your pick of anyone to travel with, who would you choose and why?
I am quite passionate about travelling solo, however now that I am a newlywed and have not had the pleasure to travel as much as I would have liked with my husband in the past, I am going to choose him as my ultimate travel partner. I am quite excited about exploring the world with my best friend and lover.
3. What is the one thing that you could never leave home without?
Absolutely my DSLR camera. Other than my passport, which everyone needs, it is the only thing that I must have while travelling.
4. What is the most incredible sight you have ever seen?
Visiting the Moai in Easter Island was a magical experience. I felt like after visiting the most remote island in the world I could really call myself a traveler. Another experience that left me a changed woman was exploring the Amazon Rainforest in Brasil. To this day I still cannot put into words what that trip meant to me.
5. What is the strangest thing you have ever eaten?
I am a vegetarian, so I am afraid that my answer is not going to be very exotic. I have eaten some pretty interesting fruits and vegetables though!
6. How many stamps do you have in your passport? Any favourites?
I have been through 2 passports and had to get pages added in both. As far as how many stamps, that is impossible to answer. My favourite is the penguin and koala stamp I received from visiting Philip Island in Australia.
7. What is your top tip for people that are about to embark on an adventure?
To plan extensively beforehand by reading blogs (they have the best source of information I am convinced), however when they have arrived at their destination to be open to changing their plans when an exciting opportunity, which always does, presents itself.
8. What is your most memorable moment whilst travelling?
Meeting my husband in a crowded bar 6 years ago in Buenos Aires.
9. While travelling, do you miss/crave any home comforts? If yes, what are they?
My bed and microwave popcorn.
10. What is the main reason why you love to travel?
I have an insatiable curiosity to see every corner of this big, beautiful world. My Mom jokes that I was born with a passport in my hand. When I am not travelling, I am dreaming of travelling. Nothing makes me soul come more alive than exploration
