However, the newspaper noted that people who want to get out and about can also find a lot to enjoy in Turkey. For instance, it said holidaymakers could indulge in activities such as golf and white water rafting. The Liverpool Daily Post also encouraged people on Turkey holidays to venture out into the country's rural areas, as there is lots of natural beauty on offer. Turkey was recently flagged up as a good place to visit by Skyscanner, partly because Istanbul is currently this year's European Capital of Culture.
