Out of this world holidays this February half term
A recent survey has revealed that three quarters of children believe in alien life and a third believe that one of their school teachers is an alien. The survey, commissioned by Twentieth Century Fox, which polled 1000 five-to-16-year-olds also found that 72% believed that aliens would be peaceful beings. If as a parent that statistic worries you then I'm sure showing them an episode of Doctor Who with the Daleks in will soon change that. You could probably even convince them that Katie Price is an alien if you want to frighten them even more. A further finding of the survey was that a quarter of children are keen to explore other planets; no wonder a trip to the park isn't that exciting these days when the kids would rather spend their half-term holidays on Jupiter. But bringing you back down to Earth - what do the half term holidays mean to you? Screaming, shouting, arguments over being bored and lousy weather maybe - and that's just the parents. If that's the case then why not get away from it all this February. After all, what do you do on half term when the kids are bored of building snowmen and building a rocket to the moon out of twenty milk cartons and the cat basket? Well, a cheap holiday this half term may well be the answer to your prayers. From a London city break where you can show the starry-eyed nippers all the glorious sights or threaten to lock them in the London Dungeon if they're playing up, to a sunshine break on one of our Egypt holidays, there's a wealth of affordable options this half term. In fact a trip to the London Planetarium may be just the answer with a further statistic from the survey revealing that 94% of children can't name the eight planets in the solar system. This way they can be entertained and be learning at the same time - perfect as it'll also be a lot of fun and reasonably cheap. Holidays abroad are obviously the perfect choice if you'd like to escape the cold and at least take them up into the air if not into orbit. How about one of our cheap Egypt holidays where you can dazzle them in Cairo with tales of how only aliens could have possibly have built the pyramids, or purely chill out, settle down and relax on the beaches of Hurghada or Sharm-el-Sheikh before a bit of evening star-gazing in the warm African evenings. If you still don't know where you want to go on your February half term holidays, check out some of our holiday deals for some inspiration and for prices that really are out of this world. You may not be able to take the kids away from Earth but at least a half term break won't cost the Earth this February.
